Dance Exposure's staff and students take dancing very seriously. The competition teams are made up of students that not only demonstrate a high level of technique, but also confidence and an outstanding personality to perform. Dancers must also have the ability to work with a team but most of all, the dancers and parents must be willing to make the commitment. Students are selected by the teaching staff.
Selected students will have the opportunity to perform and compete against other studios throughout the United States. We have students beginning at the age of five and continuing to the age of eighteen. The competitions give the children an opportunity to experience a new level of performance. Our competitive students work towards and receive many awards and special scholarships.
Our team has received top honors, judges awards, scholarships and cash prizes at many different regional and national levels. They also received the chance to take classes from many different prestigious teachers and choreographers including Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman and Shane Sparks. Dance Exposure dancers were selected to join the USA Dance Team in 2010. Those dancers represented the United States at the World Show Dance Championships held in Riesa, Germany where they competed against more than 30 other countries. This past year, 2015, 5 of our dances were invited to the International Dance Showcase and several of our soloist made top honers at regional and national levels.
